Introduction

Greetings I suppose,

This is Edward Boscacci's blog on the topic of NDNU's African Area Studies course offered in Fall, 2012. The class seems interesting, and intrigues me as I know little to nothing of Africa; I've briefly explored nations along the Mediterranean in courses on the Middle East, however sub-Sahara has always eluded me.

I'm hopeful that this class will remedy my ignorance.
